The story was pretty much the same, only changing a few things. In 2005, an HD remake of the game was released on the Xbox, titled Conker: Live & Reloaded. This meant Rareware didn’t work with Nintendo anymore. Rareware’s license was bought by Microsoft in 2002, a year after Conker’s Bad Fur Day released. The game was never advertised in the Nintendo Power magazines and was rarely sold in stores that sold video games because parents could mistake it to be a children’s game. Nintendo didn’t really like the game and it didn’t have a lot of sales, since Nintendo is a family-friendly company. One game that is still popular today, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, was a mature-rated game on the Nintendo 64, revolving around the adventure of an alcoholic squirrel named Conker. The British game company, Rareware, used to develop games for Nintendo like Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye 007, and many more classics. Now this is probably an unlikely choice, but I’d love to see Conker in a future Super Smash Bros.
